Windrush 75 campaign, W D Legal x Manchester City Council

When WD Legal had the opportunity to collaborate with Manchester City Council for Windrush 75—the 75th anniversary of the HMT Empire Windrush’s arrival at the Port of Tilbury—we knew we needed to take full advantage of this opportunity to help those still caught in the wake of the Windrush Scandal, all while remembering our history and inspiring future generations.

We shone a spotlight on three individuals from different generations within Manchester’s Caribbean community, each embodying powerful stories of community action. They were photographed at locations in Manchester deeply connected to the history of people of African descent:
